Jessica Biel on fiance Justin Timberlake’s ‘fearless’ style: ‘He has better taste than I do’

The 30-year-old actress admits she learned that most important thing in a relationship is putting it first

Famously private Jessica Biel doesn’t like to reveal too much about her personal life, but when it comes to her sense of style, she has no problem admitting that she’s not the pro in the relationship.

“(Justin) is fearless in his choices and has a real eye for design,” she tells the August issue of InStyle. “And I’ll be honest: He has better taste than I do.

“When I walk out of the closet after getting dressed in the morning, I’ll go like this (turns palms upward as if to say, ‘Well?’). And he goes like this (shakes head no). Then he picks again. It’s hilarious.”

Biel, 30, and Timberlake, 31, got engaged during the holiday season last year, and are reportedly set to tie the knot in September.

In May, the pair rang in summer with a star-studded soiree to celebrate their upcoming nuptials.

“You can see that they have been dating for a long time and really know each other’s friends and family well,” a source told Us Weekly of the events. “The party was a fun celebration and a preview of what’s to come with the wedding.”

The pair has remained largely mum about their wedding plans, but Biel does admit that she’s bent on creating a lasting relationship with Timberlake, based largely in part on her parents’ own marriage.

“The best thing I learned from them is that you have to put your relationship first. You need to make time for your partner,” she said. “Justin and I have a rule that we don’t let a certain amount of time go by without seeing each other, but it doesn’t always work.

“Sometimes you are both working and it just happens. But from here on out, I want to participate in making smart choices for the relationship.”

Biel will star in this month’s action remake “Total Recall” opposite Colin Farrell and psychological thriller “The Tall Man.”

Timberlake, meanwhile, is busy with his own projects, including a home line with stylist Estee Stanley called HomeMint.

Fittingly, the singer’s ambitions seem to fall perfectly in line with the actress’ prerequisites for a partner.

“It’s important to me to have a partner who is loving and fun – someone who inspires me,” she tells the magazine. “And he must be a good person.”
