Justin Timberlake has secretly settled the scandalous sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a former employee at his New York City restaurant after she alleged she was forced by her male bosses to watch pornographic films, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting
Alison McDaniel — the former General Manager at Timberlake’s Southern Hospitality restaurant — filed the lawsuit against the “Sexy Back” singer and his business associates in 2009 claiming she was “bullied, degraded, harassed, and ultimately discharged” because of her gender.
After just three months at the restaurant, McDaniel claims she was made General Manager at a salary of $75,000 but was immediately met with sexism, particularly from co-owner Eytan Sugarman, who “vociferously made his disdain for female managers known,” the lawsuit stated.
McDaniels claims employees engaged in inappropriate things while on the premise of the venue and one time Sugarman and another co-owner, Ronnie Kaplan, “viewed pornography while in a locked room with McDaniel, and made fun of her when she began crying about what she was being subjected to.”
Kaplan allegedly “verbally assaulted McDaniel with a tirade of at least five minutes duration during which he physically bumped McDaniel and screamed and spit in her face,” the lawsuit claimed of another incident.
Although Timberlake, 33, is named in the lawsuit as an “owner, shareholder or member of SHX and/or an executive responsible for the operation and supervision of Southern Hospitality,” his rep released a statement after the lawsuit was filed saying:
“While Justin and Trace Ayala continue their friendship with Eytan Sugarman who owns Southern Hospitality, they are not investors, owners, or partners, nor do they have any knowledge of or involvement in the operations of the restaurant.”
However, Timberlake was never dismissed from the lawsuit over the years and he even filed documents asking for a protection order in 2013, to make sure certain things were confidential in regards to filings he made in the legal battle.
According to the Supreme Court in New York, the case was slated to head to trial shortly — but was settled on June 4 before the trial could begin.
The case was dismissed by McDaniel per a confidential settlement sealed in the court.
That is just kinda funny!
Craig Brewer is in talks to direct MGM’s reboot of “The Idolmaker” with Justin Timberlake, Hawk Koch and Gene Kirkwood producing.
The original film, released in 1980, starred Ray Sharkey as a mercenary music promoter who takes on two boys with the intent of turning them into teen idols. The story was based on the life of the life of rock promoter and manager Bob Marcucci, who discovered and promoted Frankie Avalon and Fabian.
Marucci served as a technical advisor and Taylor Hackford directed “The Idolmaker,” which was the feature film debut for Peter Gallagher, Joe Pantoliano, and Paul Land.
“The Idolmaker” was one of the MGM library projects that were put into development in 2011 after the storied studio went through a pre-packaged bankruptcy in late 2010. It also began working at that point on reboots of “RoboCop,” which was released through Sony last month, and “Poltergeist,” due to be released next eyar through Fox.
Brewer’s credits include “Hustle and Flow,” “Black Snake Moan” and 2011′s reboot of “Footloose.”
Reports emerged last summer that Timberlake had come on board to produce “The Idolmaker.” He also been attached to produce and star “Spinning Gold,” a biopic about record exec Neil Bogart, for several years.
Koch and Kirkwod were producers on the original. Koch served as president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2012-13; Kirkwood’s credits include “Rocky.”
Brewer is repped by WME and his attorney is Carlos Goodman.
Jessica Biel may not be a mother in real life, but she does play a somewhat deranged and delusional mom in her new flick, The Truth About Emanuel.
At last night’s Hollywood premiere of the movie, Biel dished to us about tapping into her maternal instinct to film with a newborn baby.
“I think to make this person, this character, work without being some ridiculous, crazy performance, is to really believe in what she’s doing and believe that that is her truth, that baby is her baby and that’s what it is,” Biel exclusively told E! News.
“And so the nurturing element of being a mother, that is really what I tapped into,” the gorgeous 31-year-old actress continued. “Because it’s like, the best villain really believes what they’re doing. It’s the same idea. This woman, that’s just her truth, her reality.”
Justin Timberlake is one talented guy and his wife, Jessica Biel, is plenty aware.
On Sunday, Timberlake, 32, kicked off the fan-voted American Music Awards with a win for favorite pop/rock male artist before taking home awards for soul/R&B artist and soul/R&B album categories.
He also brought the audience to their feet with his performance of “Drink You Away,” an alcohol-infused anthem from his latest release, The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2.
But while everyone in the house seemed to be under Timberlake’s spell, Biel, 31, was nowhere to be found. Fans took to Twitter to ponder where she was (and note their jealousy over her hot hubby).

The actress soon announced she was watching the Awards from home.
“I’m watching from home tonight. Calm down, Internet,” she wrote.

Although they were apart on Timberlake’s big night, two days prior, Biel shared a photo from Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience World Tour,” captioning it, “Not a bad seat in the house.”
Earlier this month, the couple attended the vows of fellow ‘NSYNC member, Chris Kirkpatrick in Orlando, Fla.
T.I. and Justin Timberlake came together on a huge hit back in back in 2006 with “My Love,” and it looks like they may have another big collaboration in the works. Tip randomly showed up at the red carpet for the new Hunger Games film, and spoke to Clevver News about The JT feature, his acting career, and a party he may or may not have attended at Bieber’s house.
The ATL rapper began by listing the acting projects he’s got in the pipeline. “Right now, I’m currently filming the third season of ‘House of Lies’ with Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell, and I’m co-starring along with Mekhi Phifer, and we’re just having a phenomenal time,” he said. “It premiers in January.”
When asked about his work with Justin Timberlake, Tip made sure to confirm that there was a record coming, but didn’t go into any more detail than that. “Well, you know, I just happen to have some,” said T.I. of new music with JT. “I just happen to have some, thank you for asking.”
As far as a recent party at the Biebz, T.I. was strangely tight-lipped about the festivities. “Well you know I will not have any mention of any of that,” he joked. “If I was there, I’m sure it was a good time, but I will not confirm or deny any allegations.”
Justin Timberlake’s been all around the world, but he’ll never stray too far from his Tennessee roots.
In fact, Jessica Biel’s hubby might end up back in Nashville! J.T. brought his 20/20 Experience tour to Music City on Wednesday, Nov. 20, and per The Tennessean, it’s not a matter of “if” this Southern boy will move her, but “when!”
“I spend way more time in Nashville than people realize,” said Justin, who was born in Millington, Tenn., a small town just outside of Memphis. “I admire this town a lot. They take care of their own. There are not a lot of places in the world, much less America, that do that. It’s just a great place.”
“I think there could be a place for me here in the future for sure,” he said. “Absolutely I will work in Nashville. That’s probably the next move for me. The next move for me is to sink some teeth in here.”
But wait—that’s not all! Justin told Sirius XM’s The Highway, “I still got my eyes set on a Best Country Album. There is time for that.”
There is definitely time for that, and Tennessee will always be proud to welcome a true Southern gentleman like Justin back home!
Justin Timberlake has backtracked on reports he boasted N’Sync are better than One Direction by saying he thought he was talking about pies.
The 32-year-old, who reunited with his old band N’Sync at the MTV VMAs last week, is said to have told Vibe magazine: ‘I’ll be willing to say that we’re better than them (One Direction) but I’m not laying down any gauntlet.
‘I’ve seen them a couple of times and I like those guys. It’s interesting to see that whole wave come around.’
But he later played down the dig when he retweeted NME magazine, writing: ‘@NME: Justin Timberlake: N Sync are better than One Direction… I thought the question was about a pie eating contest. My bad. #newsworthy’
Fans of the 90s boyband were left disappointed when they quashed rumours of a reunion tour.
Lance Bass, 34, said: ‘It would be lovely to do it, but we’ve got nothing planned,’ adding, ‘It’s simply not part of the conversation right now. We just focused on that one performance’.
OK, this is getting ridiculous.
The only notable suits at Justin Timberlake’s house today were of the law-enforcement variety. Police confirmed Friday to E! News that they received a bogus emergency call about shots being fired at a Los Angeles address (that we know to be Timberlake’s), and officers later classified the scene as a radio Code 4, meaning no further assistance was needed.
Then, a couple of hours later, cops were called to Selena Gomez’s home, only to find—you guessed it—no emergency.
As for the Spring Breakers star, the LAPD confirmed to E! that they received a call about shots fired at around 5 p.m. and there was no crime.
That makes four so-called swatting pranks this week, with Sean “Diddy” Combs’ house getting hit Wednesday and Rihanna’s yesterday.
As has been the case with all the others, neither Timberlake nor his missus, Jessica Biel, appeared to be around when the cops showed up, but Gomez was home when the cavalry came.
Police tell us they talked to her and she was fine.
A 12-year-old boy recently admitted to making a false report of an emergency situation at Ashton Kutcher’s house and is waiting to be punished in juvenile court for computer intrusion and making a false bomb threat. In exchange, charges will be dismissed regarding his involvement in a similar prank at Justin Bieber’s house and an L.A.-area bank.
TMZ has reported that there’s a link between the latest round of swatting action and hackers who have been pulling financial records and other personal information from celebrities and politicians and posting the ill-gotten info online.
Police tell us the string of incidents remain under investigation.
Justin Timberlake, who has been quiet on his substance use in the past, has revealed that some of the trippy songs in his new album The 20/20 Experience are based on his own drug use.
In an interview with MySpace, which Timberlake owns a part of, Timberlake was asked where the inspiration came for some of the psychedelic tunes like “Strawberry Bubblegum” and “Blue Ocean Floor.”
Timberlake said his inspiration was, “Our own substance abuse while we were making (those songs).”
He also explained, “I’ve been to Coachella many times, on many different, um, substances. I’ve been to Coachella many times but not remembered a lot of it, I’ll leave it at that. But I remember I used to go to Coachella a long time ago… Like, I stood in an open field and one year I saw Nine Inch Nails and the next year I saw Weezer and I was standing in the middle of the field, you know, like tripping my mind out.
