Swatting Madness! Justin Timberlake and Selena Gomez Are Latest Victims

OK, this is getting ridiculous.
The only notable suits at Justin Timberlake’s house today were of the law-enforcement variety. Police confirmed Friday to E! News that they received a bogus emergency call about shots being fired at a Los Angeles address (that we know to be Timberlake’s), and officers later classified the scene as a radio Code 4, meaning no further assistance was needed.
Then, a couple of hours later, cops were called to Selena Gomez’s home, only to find—you guessed it—no emergency.
As for the Spring Breakers star, the LAPD confirmed to E! that they received a call about shots fired at around 5 p.m. and there was no crime.
That makes four so-called swatting pranks this week, with Sean “Diddy” Combs’ house getting hit Wednesday and Rihanna’s yesterday.

As has been the case with all the others, neither Timberlake nor his missus, Jessica Biel, appeared to be around when the cops showed up, but Gomez was home when the cavalry came.
Police tell us they talked to her and she was fine.

A 12-year-old boy recently admitted to making a false report of an emergency situation at Ashton Kutcher’s house and is waiting to be punished in juvenile court for computer intrusion and making a false bomb threat. In exchange, charges will be dismissed regarding his involvement in a similar prank at Justin Bieber’s house and an L.A.-area bank.
TMZ has reported that there’s a link between the latest round of swatting action and hackers who have been pulling financial records and other personal information from celebrities and politicians and posting the ill-gotten info online.
Police tell us the string of incidents remain under investigation.

Justin Timberlake, who has been quiet on his substance use in the past, has revealed that some of the trippy songs in his new album The 20/20 Experience are based on his own drug use.

In an interview with MySpace, which Timberlake owns a part of, Timberlake was asked where the inspiration came for some of the psychedelic tunes like “Strawberry Bubblegum” and “Blue Ocean Floor.”

Timberlake said his inspiration was, “Our own substance abuse while we were making (those songs).”

He also explained, “I’ve been to Coachella many times, on many different, um, substances. I’ve been to Coachella many times but not remembered a lot of it, I’ll leave it at that. But I remember I used to go to Coachella a long time ago… Like, I stood in an open field and one year I saw Nine Inch Nails and the next year I saw Weezer and I was standing in the middle of the field, you know, like tripping my mind out.

Justin Timberlake Might Abandon His Fashion Label, William Rast

Much like Justin Timberlake’s acting career, his clothing line William Rast hit its peak in 2010. That year, the label got a deal with Target, won a “Brand of the Year” award, and drew celebrities to its fashion show like sorority girls to bartops when “SexyBack” comes on. But since then, its prestige has waned: It stopped showing at New York Fashion Week, and Timberlake no longer appeared in their ads. Now its clothes are sold at J.C. Penney and a few places online. To be fair, the label probably works best as a mass-market line, but it has all but disappeared from the spotlight.

Today, rumors emerged that Timberlake himself may abandon the label, which he co-founded in 2005 with his best friend Trace Ayala, who still oversees it. The Post reports:

Sources said Timberlake is still involved in the brand for now, “But by the end of the year, he won’t be anymore.”

A spokesperson for the label didn’t deny Timberlake’s departure, but said that he was “eternally” connected to the brand because its title is “a combination of Justin’s grandfather’s name and Justin’s best friend [Ayala]‘s grandfather’s name.” Well at least now Timberlake won’t have to wear it on his tour this summer! Justin Timberlake And Dave Grohl To Perform At 2013 South By South West Festival?

Justin Timberlake and Dave Grohl are expected to perform at this year’s South By South West Festival next week while several other acts including Kendrick Lamar have now been added to the line-up.

‘Suit & Tie’ smoothie Justin will be gearing up for the release of his comeback album ‘The 20/20 Experience’ and is said to be celebrating with a private concert at the Texas festival with the music event kicking off on March 12.

According to KUVE.com, Justin will be hosting a VIP party in Austin where he will perform tracks from his new album.

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is also rumoured to be making an appearance on March 14th with his band Sound City Players. Kendrick Lamar and Iggy & The Stooges have been confirmed for the line-up, while the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Vampire Weekend have already been announced on the bill.

The festival is just the latest in a long line of shows Justin will be performing this summer with the heartthrob gearing up for his ‘Legends of the Summer’ tour with his pal and collaborator Jay-Z, while the pair have also been confirmed as headliners for the 2013 Wireless Festival on separate days.

Rumoured Beyonce and Justin Timberlake intimate London gig confirmed as fake

A gig listing which suggested that Beyonce and Justin Timberlake were set to play an intimate concert together in London has been confirmed as a fake.

Yesterday, the Songkick listings website posted details of a show to be held by the pair at London’s 500-capacity venue The Garage on March 31, but Ticketscript have now confirmed that that the event will not take place and was posted by mistake.

The listing was only set up to test their system, they said in a statement, and was never meant to be seen by members of the public. “There has been a lot of news and social media coverage generated today from an event that appeared on Songkick briefly yesterday morning,” they said. “The event in question listed Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and Toto as headliners at an event at The Garage. This is not a real event. Ticketscript would like to apologise for any confusion and inconvenience that this may have caused.

“This event was set up in the Ticketscript system as a test event. Unfortunately the data was then connected to Songkick and was published on the Songkick website,” they added. “Ticketscript would like to reiterate that this was a test of the functionality in our system and was never intended for the public domain. We are reviewing our procedures to ensure that this cannot happen again. The event does not exist. Songkick had no knowledge of this event and Ticketscript provided this information in error. ”

Earlier this week, Timberlake announced that he will play a surprise gig at The Forum in north London immediately after performing at the Brits next Wednesday (February 20). The singer will release his comeback album, ‘The 20/20 Experience’, will be released on March 18. The LP is the first new music from the singer-turned-actor and Myspace entrepreneur since his second solo effort ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ in 2006.

Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake Planning Stadium Tour

Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z are planning a major stadium tour this summer, sources involved in the negotiations tell Rolling Stone. While talks are still ongoing, the tour as currently planned would include 11 to 13 stadium dates.

Timberlake hinted Saturday on Twitter that something was in the works, writing, “Big news coming after Justin’s Grammys performance.” According to the New York Post, Timberlake said, somewhat vaguely, on the red carpet before the Grammys, “We’re definitely going to go on tour . . . I don’t know how much I should say. . . . It’s going to be a lot of fun, I know that.”

The two stars have appeared on stage together a few times recently for performances of Timberlake’s Hov-assisted comeback single “Suit & Tie.” Jay joined Timberlake during a show in New Orleans over Super Bowl weekend, the pop-star’s first live show in nearly five years; and the duo also joined forces for a rendition of the cut at this weekend’s Grammy Awards.

Timberlake’s highly anticipated new album The 20/20 Experience is set for a March 19th release. Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z are packing up their suits and ties for a 10-city tour, according to several media reports.

The Pop/Rap duo have taken to the stage twice in the past month — once during Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans and most recently at Sunday night’s Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, both times performing Timberlake’s comeback track “Suit and Tie,” off his upcoming album “The 20/20 Experience.”

According to People.com, Timberlake and Jay-Z are said to be lining up stops in at least 10 cities during a stadium tour together.

While neither artist’s camp could be reached for comment, the New York Post said Timberlake made the admission on the Grammy red carpet.

“We’re definitely going to go on tour . . . I don’t know how much I should say . . . It’s going to be a lot of fun, I know that,” Timberlake reportedly told the Post.

Timberlake would not elaborate on who makes up the “we” but several media reports claim it will be Jay-Z.

Sunday’s Grammy performance marked Timberlake’s return to the music scene after a nearly seven year hiatus. Timberlake spent the past few years developing his movie career with starring roles in “The Social Network” and “Friends With Benefits.”

“Suit & Tie,” to be released on March 19, is part of Timberlake’s third solo album.

What did Justin Timberlake wear to his 32nd birthday party? A suit and tie, naturally! The actor-singer turned one year older on Thursday (Jan. 31) — and marked the occasion the evening before with close pals at Varnish, a new speakeasy-style bar in downtown Los Angeles, sources tell Us Weekly.

“It was a dressed-up occasion,” one insider tells Us, adding that Timberlake’s wife of three months Jessica Biel donned an “amazing vintage Gucci dress that stunned” for the bash. Other guests included Chris Rock, Timbaland and singer Rosette.

Toasting the birthday boy, revelers quaffed Varnish’s acclaimed cocktails and champagne. “Everyone partied late,” the insider adds. “Justin and Jess looked in love — he was glad to have his crew around him.”

Timberlake certainly has a big year ahead of him: With hit track “Suit and Tie” as its lead single, his new album The 20/20 Experience (his first in seven years) drops next month, with a Grammys performance slated for next Sunday (Feb. 10).

“A lot of music people in the house were talking about his record,” a second source notes of the shindig. “He seemed genuinely excited about it and performing.”

Ne-Yo wants to set up a collaboration with Justin Timberlake, somone he’s always admired, and is keen to work with Tulisa in the studio after she supports him in the UK.

The 30-year-old musician admires ‘Suit & Tie’ hitmaker Justin, who recently made a long-awaited return to music after a six year break, and would ”jump at the chance” to work with him.

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: ”I would definitely like to work with Justin, I’ve been a fan for a long time.

”I feel like he looks at music the same way I do. It’s super important to him. The reason he was out for so long was because he wasn’t going to come back until he knew that everything was going to be done the way he wanted it done.

”I’m hoping to get that phone call, I would jump at the chance to work with him.”

The ‘Let Me Love You’ hitmaker and songwriter, who is currently working with Beyonce on her fifth studio album, is keen to explore more collaborations in the future.

Also on his list is ‘The X Factor’ judge Tulisa, who will support him on his latest UK arena tour in March, and while he hasn’t had a proper conversation with the star, Ne-Yo feels there’s an opportunity to work together past the live run.

He revealed: ”I’m looking forward to having Tulisa on the tour … It will be good to have a chat and see if there’s anything we could collaborate on together at some point.

”I’m always looking for a person that’s gonna get on stage and come out with something real and that’s what I get from her. She’s just gonna get out there and give a quality performance.”

Ne-Yo is set to kick off his latest UK arena tour, supported by Tulisa, at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena on March 6.

Justin Timberlake Didn’t Tell ‘N Sync About His New Solo Album, Lance Bass Reveals

When Justin Timberlake recently announced plans to release his first solo album in nearly seven years, fans of the “SexyBack” singer weren’t the only ones who were surprised. The singer-turned-actor’s former ‘N Sync bandmate, Lance Bass, says the group was unaware Timberlake was once again making music.

“He’s been so busy and even hid from us that he did an album, so I was as surprised as everyone else that he released this new music,” Bass, 33, told Us Weekly at EMA’s Green Works event at Sur in L.A. Jan. 23. “He’s been busy with that, so we haven’t really been able to catch up.”

Even so, Bass admitted he’s a big fan of “Suit & Tie (feat. Jay-Z),” Timberlake’s first single from his upcoming third album, The 20/20 Experience. “I love it!” Bass raved of the mid-tempo R&B track. “I think it’s something that no one expected him to do. I think everyone was expecting him to do a crazy [dance track], but he went back to his roots and I like it. It’s very nice!”

Like Timberlake, Bass is working on his own solo album, his first ever. “I’ve waited 10 years to be able to do it, and now I finally found the time this year,” said Bass, who had competed on Dancing With the Stars in 2008. “I just needed a break from music. When you do something as big as ‘N Sync, you don’t get so burnt out of it, but you need a different direction and my mind needed to go somewhere else.”

Bass’ album will be inspired by his Southern roots. “It won’t be a crazy, full country album,” the Mississippi native told Us. “I’d love to come out with some pop record that has that essence of rock ‘n’ roll and country.”

Though ’90s boy bands New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees and Boys II Men are joining forces for a summer tour, Bass doesn’t see ‘N Sync reuniting on the road. “We’re all just very content with what’s happening in our lives right now and we don’t want to get burnt out again,” said Bass, who’s been dating actor Michael Turchin since 2011. “Hopefully in the next few years we can do something, but I think right now isn’t the time for us.”

It doesn’t seem Timberlake is too eager to hang out with the band, however. When he wed actress Jessica Biel in Italy on Oct. 19, 2012, he didn’t invite his former bandmates Bass, J.C. Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick. “From what I know, it’s because he didn’t want all of us there making it about a reunion rather than a wedding,” Kirkpatrick said in a previous radio interview. “It was [Jessica's] day. She’s amazing, so we wanted to make sure it was about her.”

For a while, this seemed like a hoax. However, multiple sources are confirming that Justin Timberlake’s long-awaited return to music will go down later today.

Florida’s Radio Now 97.9 reported that the 30-year-old singer/actor is prepping the release of a new single on Monday that will feature Jay-Z and produced by long-time collaborator Timbaland.

Moments ago, after Twitter became a buzz with the rumor, Timberlake cryptically tweeted “Thursday, January 10th, 2013 at 9:01 am PST…” Allegedly, this is the time that we can await the new song to hit the internet and then the airwaves.

Timberlake previously reached out to work with Jay-Z during the making of his sophomore solo album, FutureSex/LoveSounds, but it never came to fruition. It looks like they finally locked it in.

“Look, Jay-Z has put out 11 albums, and I was talking about doing a collaboration with him, and he said, ‘I can’t do it right now, but I’ll get you on the next album.’ I was like, ‘No, man, I don’t work like that,” JT told Vanity Fair. “This sounded good to me for you and me to do together, and if it doesn’t work, then I totally get it, but I won’t be putting an album out next year; these aren’t a dime a dozen to me.’”

Also, there are rumors that Timberlake will be dropping a single with Beyonce Knowles as well. Timberlake’s last release, FutureSex/LoveSounds, came out in 2006. Stay tuned for more news and eventually the song on Hip-HopWired.

Justin Timberlake met Santa Claus over and over on Saturday afternoon. The star was in the middle of a Santa convention in New York City better known as SantaCon. Dressed in the holiday garb that St. Nick usually wears on Christmas Eve, hundreds, if not thousands of fake Santas hit the strets of Manhattan to celebrate the season. Apparently Justin Timberlake was in the madness of it all and shared a photo with his fans.

“No one told me it was National Santa Day! The pic is blurry because I ran into a restaurant and snuck this photo… Ha!” tweeted Justin Timberlake from his official Twitter account on Saturday. “Seriously… The whole Lower East Side of NY looks like Invasion Of The Drunken Santas! I’m not missing out on this next year.”

While the real Santa Claus might not be in attendance, plenty of his New York City friends were. Reports all day Saturday of the jolly man’s identity were on Twitter and Facebook. Giving a blast into the holiday season it was a chance to share some joy during the Yuletide season.

My bestfriend Steve told me about this actually, kinda crazy …. I didnt know this was something people actually do. Just thought steve was being his normal drunken self lol

Looking VERY cute in an academic atmosphere, we must say!

We wonder if Jess and JT ever play naughty student and horny teacher, with Justin being the misbehaving college kid? LOLz!
