Amanda talks JT
The 26-year-old displayed her playful nature in the Ellen von Unwerth shot spread while talking with the magazine about everything from ex-boyfriend Dominic Cooper, why she’d never date Justin Timberlake and if she feels competitive with fellow young starlets.
On why she would never date her In Time co-star, Justin Timberlake:
“Oh, I think any female that meets him at first is like, ‘I want to date you.’ He seems so perfect, but you get to know him, and he’s a good pal. He’ll tell you what he really feels. But, you know, he’s really famous, which has its downsides.”

Pharrell Shares How He Helped Justin Timberlake ‘Break Out of Boy Band Land’
Musician and entrepreneur Pharrell Williams has collaborated with many great artists in his day. But probably one of his most successful partnerships came in the form of Williams’ work on ‘Justified’ — Justin Timberlake‘s debut solo album. Prior to the CD’s release, J-Tims was primarily seen as just another boy bander. But as Pharrell tells Huffington Post’s Black Voices, he saw more.
“Well Justin knew he wanted to break out of boy band land,” Pharrell shares. “And at the time [prior to 'Justified'] he wasn’t really talking about going solo at all. We used to talk all the time and I used to tell him, ‘Listen man, you gotta break out of this skin.’”
Since Pharrell and JT had grown close during their work on *NSYNC‘s ‘Celebrity’ album, the producer felt confident Justin was ready to take his talents to the next level. “I know your personality now and there’s so much more to who you are and what you’re into,” Pharrell remembers telling Timberlake at the time. “‘Cause [Justin's] taste in music was so expansive, but you wouldn’t get that from the way he dressed at the time because he was in a mold.”
Of course Pharrell was right, with Justin’s CD selling thousands of copies. Watch the super-producer reminisce about the recording of ‘Justified,’ along with details of the unexpected call he received from Michael Jackson during the process below. Memories like this are all we have to hold onto until Justin finally decides to record a new CD!

Fallon: Timberlake is electric
Jimmy Fallon feels ‘lightning’ when he works with Justin Timberlake.
The 37-year-old American comedian and late night talk show host and Justin were both named one of GQ magazine’s men of the year.
On the cover image of this special issue, Jimmy is comically grabbing Justin’s groin while the singer has his hands behind his back.
Jimmy reveals that the photo is not as controversial as it appears.
“There”s no actual contact-no physical contact,” Jimmy told E! Online at last night”s GQ Men of the Year party. “It”s like one of those round machines at Sharper Image where lightning shoots out and up to your hands. There was no actual contact, but there was electricity.”
The cover image pose was not preplanned. The chemistry between Jimmy and Justin during the shoot was so good the pair were able to get really creative with one another.
“Anytime you get to shoot with Justin Timberlake, it”s going to be fun,” Jimmy gushed. “He”s full of energy. It”s actually the best photo shoot I”ve ever done.”
Jimmy did not expect to be included as one of GQ’s men of the year. The honour came out of the blue.
“It”s the craziest thing. Twenty people call and you”re on a conference call and I”m like, ”Is my career over? Is there a scandal? Am I having a baby?” But they go, ”GQ wants you as a man of the year. As a comedian you don”t think about these things. You don”t have that kind of goal.”

Drake ‘Came So Close’ to Justin Timberlake Collaboration on ‘Take Care’
Rick Ross. Rihanna. Lil Wayne. Stevie Wonder! It’s a crowded guest list on “Take Care,” Drake‘s sophomore album due out tomorrow (Nov. 15), but in an exclusive interview in early October, the rapper told Billboard that there was one guest appearance that he wasn’t able to make happen.
“I mean I really wanted to work with Justin Timberlake on this project,” says Drake, “and we came so close man, so close. He’s just super busy, and not in the music mindset right now as far as creating.”
Indeed, aside from promoting the rap-rock group FreeSol on his Tennman Records label, Timberlake has used 2011 to focus on acting opportunities, including starring roles in “In Time” and “Bad Teacher.” But Drake believes that, once Timberlake does return to the studio, a collaboration will happen, and that producer Noah “40″ Shebib would add an interesting layer to the pop star’s sound.
“The song was gonna be dope,” says Drake. “It was solid – a solid little look. But he’s so immersed in the acting thing, and I don’t blame him, he’s doing great at it. He was just like, ‘I really want to work, I just can’t do it right now. But we’ll work as soon as I’m back in the studio.’
“So he gave me his word on that, so I’m looking forward to looking with him,” Drake continues. “Even just giving him some ideas, writing, him working with [producer Noah "40" Shebib], I think that would just sound crazy, Justin Timberlake and 40. Half the time, I just want artists to work on 40′s beats, I don’t even really want to intrude. I just want to hear them. 40 has so many ideas, and I’d love to hear an artist like Justin Timberlake to see what he and 40 could come up with, but that was the one person that I was sorta like, ‘Damn!’ But we’ll get it though.”

Johnny Galecki on Co-Star Justin Timberlake
Johnny Galecki goes for laughs every week as resident genius Leonard Hofstadter on The Big Bang Theory. Now, the actor is changing things up with a role in the science fiction thriller, In Time.
Galecki, 36, talked to Parade.com about his new role, bonding with co-star Justin Timberlake, and Big Bang Theory‘s upcoming 100th episode milestone.
On his latest film, In Time.
“I just thought it was so intelligent and clever. I went in to some meetings with [director] Andrew Niccol to talk about the character, and I said, ‘Why don’t you let me read it?’ I’m never really opposed to auditioning; in fact, I’m more comfortable with it. I probably shouldn’t say this because I’ll be kicking myself later, but you don’t hire a guy to paint your house by sitting down and having coffee with him, you want to see what kind of work he does.”
On co-star Justin Timberlake.
“He’s a perfectionist. I was really impressed. He has a great instinct, whether he’s on or off camera. I’ve never seen someone who had such success in another area of entertainment be so willing to work as hard as he does. He doesn’t rest on any of those laurels. He knows that performing at Madison Square Garden doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going to be a great actor in an action film.”
On breaking the ice with JT.
“The first scene we were going to shoot together was the goodbye scene, so I went to set a couple days before just to kind of pal around with Justin a little bit. I didn’t want to shake his hand and then start a very emotional goodbye scene between us. The bar scene was fun too because we ran off to a nearby shooting gallery on our break. He is a far superior shot than I am. I don’t think the producers were necessarily thrilled about that, but you gotta blow off some steam somehow!”

Kelly Clarkson wants to work with JT
With her fifth studio album set to drop in October, Kelly has worked with numerous fellow artists since her big “Idol” win in 2002. However, the singer revealed she hopes to collaborate with a few certain music stars in the future, including Adele, who she dubbed her current “favorite.”
“I’d love to work with a lot of people… I love Adele,” she said. “I love what Justin Timberlake did with Reba McEntire on her duet album — I love how different that was. So I’d love to do something with him one day.
“I just like how he thinks — it’s a little different,” she continued. “Like, he never comes up with the same thing.”

Mila Kunis talks working with Justin Timberlake!
You act alongside Justin Timberlake and there’s a great on-screen chemistry between the two of you. Was the first script meeting with him the first time you’d met Justin?
Yes, that day when I went and met with Will in the morning and then met with Justin at night, that was the first time we’d ever had any sort of interaction.
And you were able to develop the script together. Were the two characters able to grow up together in a way?
Yeah, I think that’s what people are seeing on screen. Justin and I both had these two months to really truly work up a script and make the characters the way we wanted them to be. On top of that we actually don’t hate each other, we enjoyed each other’s company and we got along really well. You never know going into a project whether your co-stars are going to be people you technically want to have lunch with that day but we all got lucky. Will, Justin and I had lunch together every single day during work so it was lovely.
The dialogue is very natural and fast-paced, did you find yourself working ad lib or bouncing off each other?
Yeah, a lot of it was. When we did the workshop it was all improvisation and as we were improvising, Will was writing it so the script was built off of improv already. Then when we went to shoot the movie, Will would just yell lines out at us and there were different buttons to different jokes. One that I can think of off the top of my head was the scene where he [Justin] gives me the painting and my feet are up on the bed and he’s like: “Get your feet off the bed, they’re dirty,” and I went like this [wiggles her feet]. That was all improv and there were a lot of moments where we just ended up having fun because we knew the characters so well. It felt natural.

Justin Timberlake talks about having Olivia Wilde play his mother in sci-fi movie ‘In Time’
The sci-fi thriller In Time (in theaters Oct. 28) envisions a futuristic society in which humans are genetically engineered to stop aging at 25 and can theoretically live forever. As a result, the film sports what many Hollywood executives would consider a dream cast — one in which every character, no matter his or her actual age, is played by a gorgeous young actor or actress. The movie’s conceit also presented some peculiar challenges for the cast. For instance, Justin Timberlake, 30, who plays a murder suspect named Will, had to imagine the 27-year-old Olivia Wilde as his character’s 50-year-old mother, Rachel.
“We laughed about it when we first saw each other,” recalls Timberlake. “First of all, Olivia is three years younger than me!” Nonetheless, the two actors had to find a way to convince the audience that Rachel had been Will’s mom for the past 20 or so years. During the rehearsal process, Timberlake often found himself talking to Wilde about his own mother. “We’d read the script and I would say, ‘Here’s something my mom might do,’ or ‘Here’s the way my mom might say it,’” says Timberlake. “I think she really looked to me to give her those little things because she had the trickier job in our scenes. But she’s obviously a great actor. When you meet both of [our characters], it’s visually jolting, but within seconds you’re like, ‘Oh, wow, that is his mother.’”
For many of the film’s characters, director Andrew Niccol (Gattaca) sought out young actors who could believably portray someone who’s much older — while still looking 25. “I went on a search for these old souls,” says Niccol. “Even for a small role like a priest, where you typically cast a worn-out 75-year-old character actor, I now had to find a worn-out 75-year-old character actor in a 25-year-old body.” For Niccol, it was easy to see Wilde as a middle-aged maternal figure. “She just inhabited the role,” says the director. “Olivia has something about her — a maturity that’s way beyond her years.”

Chris Martin talks JT
This is an a la cart world now in terms of music consumpton. Yet sequencing the album seems to be very important to this band, why is that?
Because there are still people who care about it. And we just can’t compete in a singles world, we’re not good enough at singles to do that. So we have to play to our strength. We have some good singles, sure, but we can’t compete with Gaga or Beyonce or Justin [Timberlake], if he would only fucking make a record. It’s good news for all of us that he isn’t, because it gives everyone else a chance, but it’s a great loss to music that he doesn’t do it.
