Justin Timberlake Teams with Timbaland & FreeSol for Hot New Track ‘Fascinated’ [AUDIO]

For music fans, it’s been a long five years since multihyphenate superstar Justin Timberlake released an album, but while he’s been pursuing other passions including acting, business, and philanthropy, Timberlake hasn’t completely turned his back to his first love — music.

Timberlake has been incredibly strategic in filling his roster at his small label Tennman Records, and to push his rock star recruits FreeSol, he called up his longtime producer Timbaland to cook up a killer track. The result is “Fascinated”, a high-energy mesh of Timbaland’s signature heavy bass, FreeSol’s electric guitar and Timberlake himself singing the hook.

Our beloved dick-packaging, boat-dwelling, sex-documenting comedy troupe, the Lonely Island, has officially announced a handful of guests for their upcoming second album, Turtleneck & Chain (due May 10) thanks to an early report from Vulture
.
First up, Nicki Minaj will show up, likely on a studio-quality version of their viral hit “The Creep.” Their “Shy Ronnie” co-conspirator Rihanna makes an appearance and well as their ol’ penis-packing partner Justin Timberlake. No word on a track list, but we assume “I Just Had Sex” and “The Creep” will be the album’s “Thriller” and “Beat It” when this thing goes 14 times platinum.

Justin Timberlake’s New Music Will Be More ‘Conceptual’: The MTV News Quote Of The Day

It’s not necessarily a referendum on the music world. Rather, it’s just what moves him at the moment. “I don’t know what a pop ‘career’ is. I just wanted to be in music,” Timberlake said. “I don’t necessarily crave to be a movie star. I just want to be an actor. I don’t look at it as a career — I just feel lucky. That’s not to say I’m going to take every opportunity that comes up. But now I have more chance to plot out a path.”

When he does finally get back to the world of music, he imagines that he’ll do something a little more outside the box. “I want to conceptualize something a little bit more,” he said. “And it’s probably because of the experience I’m having working with directors and screenwriters and getting to play cool characters. If that means I come up with, like, my version of ‘Ziggy Stardust,’ so be it. Who knows? What I’ve learned from acting in movies, I want to apply to music and see what happens.”
