Timberlake is giving a press conference along with Emile Hirsch, Shawn Hatosy, Anton Yelchin and Ben Foster. Why this group of young actors is doing one unwieldy media scrum to promote the film is a question we can't answer, but it's tough not to think about what would be lost to the screen if a bomb fell on the hotel. Quelle catastrophe.

Maybe it's a group press conference because there's safety in numbers. Maybe none of the actors has enough conversation to do a whole interview all by himself. Maybe there's a concern that Timberlake, having the highest profile, will get the lion's share of media attention, which is exactly what happens. So at least the other actors get to be ignored and humiliated together.

Alpha Dog is a hugely engaging film about a pack of kids living large in a moral vacuum located in the San Fernando Valley. The film, which also has Bruce Willis and Sharon Stone in the cast, is based on true events involving teenagers who got into something stupid and turned it into something tragic.

Hirsch plays Johnny, a weak and indulged teenager with a wannabe thug life. Johnny sells drugs and has a gang of followers, which includes characters played by Timberlake and Hatosy. Johnny is at war with Jake (Foster), and one day, on a lark, Johnny grabs Jake's younger brother (Yelchin) and keeps him for a few days, just to scare everybody.

Trouble is, Johnny can't figure out what to do with the kid once the fun is over ...

Alpha Dog is distinguished by an edgy script and performances to match. In what could be considered his first real role, Timberlake is very good; so are the performances from Hatosy, Foster, Hirsch and Yelchin.

Timberlake plays Frankie, the good-natured follower in the gang. He's bright, he's friendly and his instincts are good, but he's not quite strong enough to stand up to Johnny. By doing nothing to change the outcome of the prank kidnapping, Frankie is, in the end, a worthless character.

And Timberlake wasn't worried about playing this morally bankrupt person?

"The point was to show the truth of what was happening in the story," says Timberlake, who will be 26 at the end of this month.

"There was so much information on the characters, and all of us felt morally responsible for portraying that ... it's a tough movie to watch, but this is as close to what happened as we could make it."

But was it risky to play such a repellent character?

He smiles and says, "My only stipulation for the movie was that I wanted to crack a couple of jokes here and there. For me, it was attractive to just be involved with great actors and a great director and great material. That's what led me to this film."

Timberlake has been famous for a decade, courtesy of his music career both with 'N Sync and as a solo artist. The Grammy Award winner (best pop vocal album for Justified; best male pop vocal performance for Cry Me a River) decided to make a serious move into acting and currently has five movies under his belt, including the upcoming Black Snake Moan, with Samuel L. Jackson and Christina Ricci, Southland Tales and a vocal role in Shrek the Third.

Tomorrow, meanwhile, Timberlake begins the 2007 FutureSex/LoveShow worldwide music tour with the first of 34 North American dates. It all starts in San Diego; he plays Toronto Jan. 30 and Montreal Jan. 31. He'll be making a stop at the Grammy Awards in February, one assumes, where he has four nominations.

The Memphis native has been in front of major audiences since he was an 11-year=old contestant on TV's Star Search. Timberlake was a Mickey Mouse Club regular along with his future girlfriend, Britney Spears and future bandmate, JC Chasez; he joined 'N Sync when he was 14 and his career took off from there. Big time.

Despite his role in the so-called wardrobe malfunction with Janet Jackson at the 2004 Super Bowl, Timberlake has mostly ducked the bad behaviour coverage dished out by the tabloids. On the romantic front, he was named Most Eligible Bachelor in America after his break-up with Spears in 2002, and he and Cameron Diaz have been a couple for the last few years. Once he was free of both Spears and 'N Sync, Timberlake was finally able to shed the 'teen idol' image of his past.

These days, he's a busy guy. In addition to handling everything for FutureSex/LoveSounds, his overwhelmingly successful second solo album, Timberlake also has a hit clothing line and a couple of restaurants on the go. Right now he's involved in a talent search that lets unsigned singers compete for a chance to perform with him on stage at the Grammys next month. And he continues his work for conservation and environmental issues and with the Justin Timberlake Foundation, which supports music education and the arts in public schools.

Timberlake has said in recent months that his music career comes first, but at the Alpha Dog presser he says vaguely of his double career, "We'll have to see. I haven't thought that far ahead."

He continues, "In creating music, you are the writer, director, producer, you sort of create it from scratch. Obviously, in taking a role in film, you take guidance and you put your trust in the director and the writer. Also, I find it even more collaborative with a project like this. You come into it and trust the people you're in front of the camera with. Which was easy. I was just a sponge, watching all of them," he says, indicating the cast members seated around him.

without spoiling the movie of course....
I thought all in all it was a good movie. It did infact have a little too much cursing , but then again , these are the type of people I am around and we curse a lot and crack jokes on one another.

The nudity factor that most complained about , was not at all a problem. In fact I found absolutely nothing offesnive about it that is not displayed in other teen focused movies.

Justin's performance was very well done , and at times even seemed as if he was just being himself. His lines were well spoken and very well acted. His appearance was absolutely the best he has ever looked and for those who have seen the movie , tell me he did not look drop dead sexy at the end when he was putting on his pants ( his stomach is a work of art ).

It's a great movie , people should see it and will enjoy it. I saw it with a packed room of people , and only heard 2 complaints. 1 was about the cursing and another was a mother who said she woulda killed the directer. so take it or leave it.

and if I have spoiled anything for anyone i apologize , it wasn't intentonal.

Writer and director Nick Cassavetes' revolting Alpha Dog is salivating with problems—besides the legal problems that have plagued this based-on-a-true-story—yet it sinks its teeth into some serious cultural commentary.

With men—of every race—entering adulthood flashing gang signs in family photographs, saying "what up" as one word and wearing baseball caps backwards, it's amazing that some still deny that the thoroughly gruesome suburban life portrayed in Alpha Dog is really this pervasive. As anyone who has survived the agony of drug addiction knows—and has anyone been left untouched?—the worship of drugs and thugs by today's youths depicted in this vulgar movie reflects the culture.

Of course, it is not only the kids, as Alpha Dog demonstrates. Bruce Willis and Sharon Stone (with cameos by Alan Thicke and Janet Jones Gretzky) play utterly worthless parents whose own addictive behavior, coupled with the refusal to parent, is criminally negligible. Through sanction and neglect, they are Alpha Dog's vicious trainers.
 
Their victims are their children, mostly boys but also girls, whom they allow to live in a nonstop haze of drugs, anarchy and hedonism. A particular pack of slobbering half-human teenagers forms around a particularly pretty young thug named Johnny Truelove, a character based on a creature named Jesse James Hollywood—whose real life case is about to go to trial—a philosophical descendant of mass murderer Charles Manson.

The tattooed, unloved boys swagger around the San Fernando Valley in a perpetual drunken stupor—making the dialog tough to follow which is not that important since every other word is f—-—while playing video games and listening to rap. They are a long, long way from Spin and Marty on the ranch and they are such loathsome people you want to put them on a bus to San Quentin. Cassavetes, already hobbled by legal threats, spins a tangled web with care.

He takes too long, and the actor that plays the top dog, Emile Hirsch, lacks the charisma required to convince us that he had the other boys at his feet, and Cassavetes fails to provide the necessary contrast to the misery—how did these parents acquire this wealth?—yet enough of the gang's power politics seeps in to set up the core conflict, a kidnapping plot fueled by the boys' deepest insecurities.

Among the players is Shawn Hatosy (In and Out) as a brainless follower, Ben Foster (Hostage) as the drug freak whose half-brother is swiped off the street and Justin Timberlake as the most evil accomplice. They are all lower than toilet scum. What happens—between the yelling, the booze and the dope—is a chilling if contrived rejoinder to those idiotic parents who mistake parenting with friendship and a warning to their misguided children, who may not have the brain cells left to catch this movie's morality lesson.

Alpha Dog is part character study, part commentary and it is both too pat and too enamored with its own filthy antics to hold much sway—but it is also purposeful and driven and, in its own way, a scathing indictment of irrational parents who raised kids that became mindless subhumans in search of nothing more than smoking a doobie and having indiscriminate sex—instead finding that each choice to get stoned is ultimately reducible to dying like a wild, rabid dog.

Rebound fling or the real deal? Pals of Scarlett Johansson – who got together with Justin Timberlake shortly after his breakup from Cameron Diaz – are calling their relationship “casual,” saying that the actress sees this as her ‘single girl’ phrase.”

"They're just having fun," says a friend of the couple, who hooked up after the L.A. taping of his "What Goes Around" video, in which she appears.

Still, longtime Johansson pal Michelle Trachtenberg gives the hookup a thumbs-up. “I love Justin’s music and Scarlett’s really talented,” she tells Us. “So, hey – good times!”

recenetly I received what I found to be an unappreciative email from a fab of this site. One saying she got a bunch of viruses from world of justin. as well as blaming me for this.

I found that the email was arguementive and judgemental. I do not make a profit of this site in anyway. The ads do not give me any revenue if any of you thought that.

" we don't have this problem at justins-future-exes.org " was a quote that stood out for me in the message , I am not trying to sound like a bitch , but I seriously could not care less what that site has over mine. I work very hard on this site and if I do not satisfy one person out of the 9,000+ whom visit daily , then it is not an issue for me.

The reason I am taking the time to write this is because it pissed me off to see that people think it's intentional when a spyware item pops up. I have no control over anything to do with the ads. I will speak to my host about this and hopefully work out some sort of deal with him to maybe ditch the ads or something , but seriously it's unfair for you to critisize me.

for those this does not protain to , I am sorry for coming off with an attitude , but if you did what i do and had a message like that , you would hopefully understand where i am coming from.

a fresh start

dear viewers ,
ok after all the issues gone wrong this past week I decided to start fresh and re-do woj. I quickly made this layout , that I find to be very cute , so that all the errors would be gone. This new layout was checked in aol , internet explorer , firefox and a windows based browser , and works properly in all.

The counter is new and contains no hidden ads that would cause any problems. All broken links have been fixed and all red x'd photos have been either relinked , reuploaded or removed from the server to better the view.

TORONTO - Justin Timberlake may style himself as a modern-day Casanova, but sometimes he's more of a Don Quixote. Last night, he was on a mission to bring sexy "back" to Toronto -- a city which, some would argue, has never really had it.

The last time he performed here, for 2003's "SARS-stock," he was jeered offstage by 500,000 fans waiting to be thunderstruck by AC/DC rather than loved up by a helium-voiced former Mouseketeer. This time around, JT was clearly hoping to be showered by lingerie rather than pelted by water bottles.

Air Canada Centre vendors remove caps from bottles as a matter of course, thus compromising their effectiveness as projectiles. Still, Timberlake first appeared on his stage in the round protected by translucent white sheets projecting the name of his new album, Futuresex/ Lovesounds.

He needn't have worried, because the sold-out crowd included flocks of young women who were so taken with him that they more than matched his come hither coos in both volume and pitch.

In the short time since his breakup with Cameron Diaz, JT has been linked in the media with every female celebrity short of Dakota Fanning.

On stage, he was surrounded by a bevy of scantily clad female dancers, as well as men with more dapper attire. They all strutted, shimmied and shook around platforms, through trapdoors and across catwalks, as a seven-piece band replicated the Timbaland-produced grooves and hooks that put the "future" in Timberlake's sex.

Opening act Pink got the party started with a roaring set that concluded with her singing while gyrating high above the stage on pink streamers that dangled from the ceiling, without benefit of harness or safety net.

But while she proudly proclaimed herself a "dork" and made fun of her own lack of dancing skills, JT was all magnetic professionalism, his every move aimed at eliciting ear-shattering screams, to great effect.

His most impressive dancing came in such innovative numbers as My Love and Lovestoned, where he managed to be fluid and robotic, like a cross between Michael Jackson and Laurie Anderson.

He also did his best to bring everyone back to the sexy "future" of the '80s by displaying digital graphics that recalled Kraftwerk, busting out the computer-funk jam Sexy Ladies (complete with a totally rad keytar solo) and singing smooooooove porno-synth-laden soul (during the slow jam Until the End of Time, the couple in front of me were trying assiduously to suck out each other's adenoids).

JT's 2?-hour show was broken up by a DJ set by Timbaland (who also guested on screwed-up hip-hop number Chop Me Up and the irresistible set closer, Sexyback, which turned the ACC into a giant, heaving, laser-lit nightclub), and by a tequila toast during which the forgiving pop star saluted Toronto and crooned the opening to O Canada.

Although his high-energy songs were his most effective, he did, impressively, manage to redeem the ballad Losing My Way, which comes across as drab and out of place on Futuresex, by singing an affectingly soulful solo, surrounded by spectral projections of a string section and a gospel choir on the sheets that dropped down from the ceiling.

Elsewhere, the show was all about seduction, and when Timberlake sat down at a piano to belt out the cliche-ridden encore, Another Song, with its "please give me another chance" lyrics, it came across as a drearily moralistic ending to an evening of fun.

Sometimes, it's better to love 'em and leave 'em wanting more.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have been spotted chilling, flirting and snowboarding lately – but don't peg them as a new couple just yet, sources say in the new issue of PEOPLE.

Earlier this month, Timberlake invited Biel and a few friends to hang backstage at his concert in San Diego, and the pair were spotted snowboarding together with a group of buddies at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, on Jan. 25.

But a close source insists, "It's all about having fun." Since Timberlake's recent breakup with Cameron Diaz, the source adds, "He's trying to have a good time."

Of course, there's a good time, and then there's a good time – a distinction that was clear to witnesses (including an angry Diaz) who saw them at Prince's Golden Globe party on Jan. 15.

Surrounded by stars, Timberlake, 26, only had eyes for Biel, 24 – also newly single after a fling with Derek Jeter – as he sipped champagne from her glass and leaned close to talk.

In fact, Biel was so smitten, she confessed her attraction to Timberlake's date: his mom, Lynn. As Biel said, "He is sooo cute!"

Just don't expect Timberlake to crank the heat up too high. Says a source: "He is in no way looking to be in a relationship. He's single and he's happy." (Reps for both declined to comment on their clients' personal lives.)

Meanwhile, don't cry for Diaz – after the Golden Globes, she headed to Hawaii to catch some waves with old pal Kelly Slater, who spent time with Pamela Anderson and Gisele Bundchen after their splits with Tommy Lee and Leonardo DiCaprio, respectively.

What make's him Hollywood's go-to rebound guy? "He's sensitive and amazing to talk to," says one pal. Adds longtime friend Matt Kechele: "He loves female companionship, and he likes to treat women right."

Why would Justin Timberlake skip the January 24 afterparty for his new drama, Black Snake Moan, after it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival? You would too if you had Jessica Biel waiting at home for you.

Tinseltown’s sexiest bachelorette flew in that very night to stay with the boy-bander-turned-actor at his $1,950-a-night, four-bedroom condo at the Trail’s End Lodge in nearby Deer Valley.

“He called her and asked her to come,” says a source close to Biel, 24, who was spotted snowboarding with Timberlake, 26, the next day at the picturesque Park City Mountain Resort. “And she was like, ‘What the hell? I’ll go!’ She is really spontaneous and fun.”

Though the two rarely left their cozy digs, a mutual pal who spent time with the couple tells Us, “their relationship looked like it was definitely working for them.”

The pair stayed until January 26 and, says a source at the resort, “Justin and his group were fantastic guests.”

Biel’s rep, who won’t comment on Timberlake, tells Us, “Jessica was in Sundance for a couple of days to see some movies.”
