August 30, 2004 - Neil Sean of Sky News reports that *NSYNC plan to include some demo tracks featuring Justin Timberlake on their next album, and he's not happy about it. Justin's bandmates are still reeling from his decision to drop out of recording some extra tracks for a planned greatest hits album, but they plan to work around that problem by including some demos that Justin made with them, including the song 'Tell Her I Called', which is all about his Timberlake's romance with Britney Spears.

August 30, 2004 - JustLovesNSync writes "Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC performed with Starship in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday (August 26). He performed the groups hit single 'We Built This City' for the Hard Rock Hotel's monthly Velvet Sessions."

August 30, 2004 - In Touch magazine spoke with Usher in a Q&A and asked him about his on-court face off with rival singer Justin Timberlake at the *NSYNC Challenge for the Children basketball game. "You know how basketball is, man, it's really competitive, but what happens on the court stays ont he court. You can't believe everything you hear, you dig? It was said that me and Justin had some words on the court after the game, but it was just a very competitive game."

August 30, 2004 - Us Weekly reports that Justin Timberlake joined girlfriend Cameron Diaz on August 16th for a sushi dinner at Matsuhisa in Bevely Hills. The *NSYNC star waited 20 minutes for the actress to show, and "he jumped up to greet her - it was very sweet and romantic," an onlooker reports. "They seemed happy just to be around each other." The witness said the couple "were in amazing moods."

August 23, 2004 - JC Chasez took part in a phone interview with Nova 96.9 FM in Sydney, Australia on Friday, where he not only talked about the future of *NSYNC, but revealed that his house had been badly damaged by a tree. "A tree that weighs more than probably 60 or 80 thousand pounds crashed into my house," Chasez told DJ Rabbit. "It was wild, man, 'cause, you know, I was home when it happened, I just...I was on the other end of the house and I just heard this big crashing noise, and I just...it was like, "Oh, that's not [bleeped]." August 23, 2004 - In Touch magazine conducted a poll on who is the best showbiz mother, with Justin Timbelake's mom Lynn Harless topping the list, edging Christina Aguilera's mother Shelly Kearns at #2. Others included Beyonce Knowles' mother Tina at #3, Britney Spears' mother Lynne at #4, and Jessica Simpson's mother Tina at #5. Read more.

Asked if he thinks the other guys in *NSYNC hate him for his solo success, Justin responded, "If they did, I would think they'd say something about it. I don't sit around and worry about it." August 23, 2004 - Justin Timberlake was photographed getting cozy with a male friend during lunch in a West Hollywood cafe. The *NSYNC star left girlfriend Cameron Diaz at home while meeting with his pal with whom he seemed quite intimate. Timberlake touched his friend's leg and arm during a passionate lunch conversation. August 23, 2004 - JC Chasez phoned into the Kyle and Jackie O show on Austereo to promote his new single 'All Day I Dream About Sex' and set straight the talk about *NSYNC splitting up. JC said, "We're a band, all five us are in the band, we're best friends and that's what makes us *NSYNC. August 23, 2004 - NSYNC star JC Chasez stopped by the Kidd Kraddick Show studio earlier this week and their official website stated: "We've had many celebrities come in for a visit, but few of them are as nice as JC Chasez. It seems his girlfriend Cameron Diaz was a constant source of friction amongst the group. She was described as "a rich, spoiled, and selfish person."

August 23, 2004 - The Daily Star reports that *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz are planning a lavish Christmas wedding at a secret location. Diaz wants to wear a Cinderella-style dress and wants to bring in a snow machine to make sure the event is turned into a Christmas winter wonderland. The location will also feature a choir and a fairground, perhaps even a frozen lake for guests to skate on. "It's Cameron's idea. She's always dreamed of a big white wedding and Christmas has always been special to her," a friend of the couple revealed. "Neither she or Justin wants to wait too long." 

August 23, 2004 - NSYNC star Justin Timberlake tells the Commercial Appeal of Memphis he is weary about the tabloid aspect of being famous. "If there's one thing that I don't like about what I do, it's being a tabloid magnet," he said. "I don't want people following me around. I want to know that I can go play House of Blues and then go home and not worry about somebody following me every day wanting to catch a picture of me picking my nose or buying toothpaste at RiteAid." August 23, 2004 - A source insisted to Us Weekly that Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz are not engaged. "You can tell that he knows she's not The One," a pal of the *NSYNC star tells Us Weekly, citing the actress' hard-partying lifestyle. "Justin wants to have a wife one day and a family. He used to talk about that all the time when he was with [Britney Spears]. He never talks like that about Cameron." In the meantime, the couple have been having fun at Timberlake's home in Orlando, Florida.

August 23, 2004 - According to Us Weekly, a rep at Jive recently met with Justin Timberlake "to light a fire under his ass" to get the singer to put out another solo album. Another source told the magazine that Jive are "anxious for another Justin album, not an *NSYNC project." When Timberlake met with his boy bandmates in July, he wasn't pleased with the direction the other *NSYNC members wanted to go. "He was griping about it to [girlfriend] Cameron Diaz," a source revealed.

August 16, 2004 - The New York Daily News reports Ricky Martin, actor Seth Green and *NSYNC star Joey Fatone partied at Chelsea nightclub Suede where Mary Kay Letourneau's student-lover Vili Fualaau also held court with an entourage. The celebs were much more low-key than Fualaau, who was giving out his agent's card to anyone who stopped by to say hi.

August 16, 2004 - The New York Post reports *NSYNC star Joey Fatone was spotted lapping up dances in the VIP room of Hustler Club.

August 16, 2004 - In an interview with Sirius Satellite Radio, Joey Fatone was asked if the People magazine story was true and that Justin Timberlake wanted out of *NSYNC. Fatone said no, that Timberlake is just not even into doing music right now and wants to focus on his movies and that it's just not the right time for any of them to get back together right now because they're all doing other things.

August 16, 2004 - In the August issue of GQ magazine, Justin Timberlake seems to hint that his *NSYNC days may be over. When asked about doing the group's next album, Justin responded, "You're never contractually obligated to do anything. I think A Tribe Called Quest has been contractually obligated to do another album for, like, 10 years."

August 16, 2004 - The New York Post reports that Andy Dick was dragged out of Suede by Joey Fatone of *NSYNC and promoter Brandon Marcel at the Fatone hosted bash on Tuesday night after Dick taunted Fatone as "Fat One", sobbing uncontrollably about the death of Rick James, trying to kiss any man or woman he bumped into, and punching an unidentified friend standing next to him in the face. August 16, 2004 - A source tells People magazine Justin Timberlake has told his *NSYNC bandmates he's not interested in being in the group's next album. "Justin said he's not in the mood and doesn't think it will work," the source revealed. "He doesn't want any part of it." His bandmates aren't happy. August 16, 2004 - The Sun reports that *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake is set to break the hearts of his female fans after asking Cameron Diaz to marry him. He asked both Cameron's parents and his mother Lynn Harless for approval. A friend said of the wedding plans: "It will be more like that of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin — nice and discreet. "You'd better stop that man," he responded. "You can't be serious. ... I do justice to the rumors by not getting into the rumors and shying away from them. There's no beef, they should stop that. August 9, 2004 - While Justin Timberlake had no troubles dancing to Fat Joe's summer hit, 'Lean Back', at Skybar in Miami last Sunday, the *NSYNC star's girlfriend wasn't quite as agile. "Justin's an incredible dancer, and Cameron's not such a great dancer," a source revealed to The New York Daily News. "So Justin's leaning back in time with the lyrics. Cameron tries to keep up, but unfortunately leans back too far and falls down on the ground. Justin picked her up, but everyone saw her fall on her face."

August 9, 2004 - Us Weekly reports that *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz were openly acting the part of a couple during N.E.R.D.'s concert at Orlando's House of Blues on July 27th. "Justin and Cameron were hugging right behind the speaker," a concertgoer revealed. Diaz then played the role of groupie when Justin went on stage to perform with Pharrell Williams and company. "Cameron knew the words to every single song," a witness said.

August 2, 2004 - Ratethemusic.com reports that friends of Britney Spears are saying the singer is engaging in marathon sex sessions with fiance Kevin Federline. "Britney says sex with Kevin is ten times better than with her ex-lover Justin Timberlake," a Britney pal revealed. "They're constantly in bed together in one long sex marathon." The constant sex comes with a warning from Dr. Lillian Glass, a top Hollywood psychologist. She said, "She's so consumed with sex she's neglecting herself. August 2, 2004 - Liz Smith of The New York Post is hearing a hot rumor out of Los Angeles that Justin Timberlake will interpret Elvis Presley in a Miramax stage venture, to be titled 'All Shook Up.' The *NSYNC star's people say "absolutely no way" and Miramax didn't return Smith's phone calls. Smith writes, "Timberlake has admitted to admiring the late legend, but it is unlikely he'd want to draw comparisons in an impersonation. And at this point even the most sincere Presley imitation comes off like parody. That said, I think Justin would be an excellent '50s-era Elvis."

August 2, 2004 - FemaleFirst.co.uk reports that even though Justin Timberlake's lawyers have demanded News of the World to retract their story claiming the *NSYNC star cheated on his girlfriend Cameron Diaz with model Lucy Clarkson, the publication's spokeswoman said they are continuing to insist the report is based on fact. The spokeswoman says: "We will vigorously defend these proceedings in court."

August 2, 2004 - *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake told 'Access Hollywood' host Nancy O'Dell that he's taking a stand against the tabloids with plans to sue News of the World over a story that claimed he cheated on girlfriend with Lucy Clarkson. "The whole thing all over the world is kind of getting out of hand -- in my opinion," said Justin. When asked whether a new album was likely, the group said it hadn't discussed it yet. "You caught us on the wrong day," JC said. "If you would have caught us [tomorrow] we would have had a better answer for you. She wants to start thinking about making a commitment and possibly having kids." The friend added, "It was fun in the beginning for Cameron to take a step back into the world of 20-somethings, but now she's looking for some stability and maturity in a relationship."

August 2, 2004 - In Touch weekly spoke with Justin Timberlake's rep on news that the book on the singer is being postponed by a British publisher -- and it isn't an autobiography. "Justin's only 23 hyears old - he's too young to write an autobiography," the rep reasoned. "It's more of a lifestyle book - full of lots of big photos." But was it really delayed so he wouldn't have a showdown against Robbie Williams? The rep insisted no. "Justin's too busy to finish the book now," the rep said. "It's that simple. But it will be published in 2005."
