April 26, 2003 - NSYNC star Justin Timberlake phoned into the Eddie and JoBo show in B96 in Chicago, where he had better luck than with Java Joel. Asked if there was a sexual vibe between him and soon-to-be tourmate Christina Aguilera, Timberlake said, "It would be great for press, you guys would eat it up but no, I think we have a mutual respect for each other and we're friends but nothing more than that." As for whether making a new *NSYNC album would be yesterday's news, Justin says, "I think, honestly, I think with the things that we've done I think that we've proven that we are more than a boyband. April 26, 2003 - Megastar reports that Cameron Diaz has split from boyfriend Jared Leto, blaming her film success. Now, the actress has recently been spotted socializing in Los Angeles with friend Justin Timberlake. A source on the set of the 'Charlie's Angels' sequel 'Full Throttle' says, "He (Leto) wasn't very nice to her. They did very few things together. Lately, they seemed to live separate social lives." April 26, 2003 - Joey Fatone's decision to record an album of song parodies may seem odd, but it makes perfect sense to fellow *NSYNC star JC Chasez. "I thought it was the best idea in the world, because he does that anyway," Chasez told MTV News. "People don't know that Joey has spoofed every song that we've ever recorded. April 25, 2003 - Pat O'Brien of Access Hollywood caught up with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake of *NSYNC to preview their summer concert tour. The idea for the pair to tour together was from their managers, as Aguilera explained: "Well, it was also that our records were coming out at the same time and whatnot and our singles. Also, the fact that we're both almost kind of a reinvention of ourselves. Like being a little more mature -- me being more grown, having gone through lots of changes. You know, this being my follow-up record to my debut and Justin kind of parting himself from the boys for a minute to do a solo thing. April 25, 2003 - Lance Bass' production company, A Happy Place, has acquired the romantic comedy 'Mama's Boy' as a starring vehicle for the *NSYNC member. "This is a script I've been keeping in my back pocket for several years now," producer Rich Hull, who is a partner in A Happy Place, told The Hollywood Reporter. "Mark had sent me a letter saying that he was a professional fighter, but had written a sweet romantic comedy. I couldn't help but to be intrigued."

April 25, 2003 - Lance Bass tells Radio 1 that *NSYNC is beginning work on a new album that he hopes is released by year's end. Bass says the members' solo projects can only help the group. "It think it was great," Bass said of bandmate Justin Timberlake's solo debut 'Justified'. "I mean all of our fans got on board and plus he got a lot more fans, especially with the urban market that totally embraced him. The two have been spotted at the White Lotus nightclub in Los Angeles at least 4 times together since January. "They were in their little private room, cuddling and being romantic. It was obvious they're back on," says a source who saw them at the Lotus on March 28th. "They arrived in a group, but quickly splintered off." April 10, 2003 - Us Weekly reports Britney Spears rivals Justin Timberlake of *NSYNC and Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst were both at Hugh Hefner's seventy-seventh birthday party at the Playboy Mansion in L.A., and "they spent the entire night at opposite sides of the party," according to a guest. Among those mingling in their pajamas were David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Jack Osbourne.

April 9, 2003 - NSYNC star Justin Timberlake, who photographed for trendy Musik magazine, admits that he's not adverse to smoking cannabis. "I like pot, it's not addictive. Sometimes you wanna level out," he says. But his drug cravings don't go beyond, as even though he has been accused of taking Ecstasy, he's never even been tempted. They write, "We want Justin and Mariah to do well, and we really do feel that releasing the Duet of 'Yours' would be in his best interest. The song is energetic love song and would be very MTV/radio-friendly. In essence, Harris tells the Portland Tribune, "we have to begin to become the gatekeepers so that *NSYNC doesn’t define hip-hop." Some people, though, capitalize on the misinformation. "I mean, the guy who choreographs for *NSYNC and Britney Spears teaches master classes pushed as 'hip-hop,' even though he knows that’s not hip-hop," he says, referring to choreographer Darren Henson.
