Site History
The site you view today didn’t always look so hot, in fact it even had a few name changes along the journey!
On December 15th,2003 The original site was opened. Heartandsoul.net, which was the original name, was one of the original Justin Timberlake Fansites. Being fedup with the lack of information and media sources on Justin at the time, I decided to start my own site to show my dedication and to give fans exactly what they wanted. Being the fan that I am, I had a lot of the information on hand, had the pictures to start and the sources.
In time the site became quite known for it’s wide range of photos spread throughout his nsync days and the present time. The site was hosted on a free web hosting community, so it made it hard to advance. The reason for the name was because Justin means a lot to me, everything from my heart to my soul. But when I got the chance to have a hosted domain, I decided to change the name to something that had his name in the title to gain more viewers.
The new hosted name was Justin-zone.com. The newer high quality version of the previous site, with some added extras. The previous version was a geocities.com hosted website and was limited in what I could offer due to space, but the new domain gave me possibilities.
Justin-zone.com was hosted by the largest Justin site at the time, JustinTimberlake.org/net, and became the most popular site out. At that time Justin was all over, and none of the other fan sites seemed to capture his appearances, so that was my strong point. Having over 40,000 pictures in the photo gallery didn’t hurt either.
All good things must come to an end. In 2005 I was going through a rough spot in my life, dealing with personal issues that were going on at the time, and my host was not supportive. Ratib Ananni, host of JustinTimberlake.org/net, sold my site and all of it’s material due to my lack of updates during the 12 week time period. I understand that as a web host you should expect your websites to be updated in a timely manner, and when put on break there should be a notice of some sort, but I was going through one of the hardest situations that any teenaged girl can ever deal with, or should deal with, and was not concerned about a website. I guess I was wrong for thinking when I got my life back together everything would be where I left it.
Alas WorldofJustin.com was born!
after being dropped from my previous owner, I remembered a link a friend had given me for a great host, efanguide, which is now Hollywood.com. Losing my content was hard, but I knew it was replaceable, the only problem lied in the name. Due to jz.com being sold I no longer had the rights to it, nor could I afford to buy it back from the new owner. I was trying to think of something creative, but everything seemed to be taken.
I then started to look at what I had to offer, and I instantly thought of WorldofJustin. For years there was another site called worldofbritney.com, which was a very popular Britney Spears fansite, that offered eactly what I had to give for Justin fans.
