Timbaland Logs Most Top 40 Billboard Hot 100 Singles Since ’05
Not really a JT post, but since timbaland is a longtime producer/friend of Justin, I decided to post. Congrats to Tim!

A look back at Timbaland’s decision to abandon Hip Hop shows it paid off enough for other producers to follow him over to the Pop charts.
In 2009, Timbaland told MTV he had been done with Hip Hop a long time ago, and it would be in his best interest to cash in from what he called the “Desperate Housewives” demographic. He caught hell from many readers via DX’s comment section, but a look at the charts over the last five years proves he was not only successful, but he also took a few friends along with him.
Billboard magazine reports Timbaland has had the most Top 40 Billboard Hot 100 singles since 2005. His run includes number-one singles with Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, in addition to producing numerous Top 40 hits for the likes of Drake, Katy Perry, Keri Hilson and One Republic. All told, Timbaland has 25 Top 40 hits during the last five years.
Timbaland Dubbed Top Hitmaker of Last Five Years
Though one might not peg Timbaland as one of the most successful artists to grace the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, it might come as a surprise that Timbo has scored the most hits. The Virginia native has officially earned the most top 40 singles on the chart since 2005, an honor that includes both his own singles and songs he has produced for other artists.
Timbaland has had a total of 25 singles to chart over the past five years, including No.1 hits with Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake as well as production on songs by OneRepublic, Drake, Keri Hilson, Katy Perry and more.
Others included in the top five hit makers over the past five years include Stargate, who come in at No. 2 with 22 hits to crack the top 40 on the Hot 100. The Norwegian production team’s credits include Rihanna‘s ‘Rude Boy,’ Ne-Yo‘s ‘Miss Independent,’ Chris Brown‘s ‘With You’ and Beyonce‘s ‘Irreplaceable.’
Lukaz ‘Dr. Luke’ Gottwald ties for third with Nathan Chapman with 21 top 40 songs over the last half-decade. Dr. Luke is the mastermind behind hits like Flo Rida‘s ‘Right Round,’ Ke$ha’s ‘Tik Tok’ and Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls,’ while country producer Chapman produced songs for Taylor Swift and Train.
Polow Da Don ties with Danjahandz for No. 5, each with 18 hits on their resumes. Polow produced 50 Cent‘s ‘Baby By Me,’ Usher‘s ‘Lil Freak’ and Fergie’s ‘Glamorous,’ while Danjahandz crafted hits like Madonna’s ’4 Minutes,’ Keri Hilson‘s ‘Knock You Down’ and Britney Spears’ ‘Gimme More.’
