Justin Timberlake Doubts Talents

Justin Timberlake is still ”insecure” about his music and acting talents, despite the plaudits he receives.
Justin Timberlake is “insecure” about his talent.
The 29-year-old star – who shot to fame aged 12 as a member of the New Mickey Mouse Club – claims he is still not fully comfortable either as a singer or a performer, despite winning several awards for his work.
He said: “I think I’m equally insecure about both of them. I’ve been doing this for two thirds of my life and I still consider myself pretty young but I think that’s the part you battle with all the time.
“When you’re creating your art, that’s the best part. Your senses are on a creative high and then the part where everyone gets to see it and comment on it, that’s the part I think you battle with until you die.
“It’s absolutely terrifying.”
Justin doesn’t want to be known only for either his acting or singing talents and thinks his early work on the children’s TV show gave him a solid grounding in both professions.
Justin – who voices the character Boo-Boo Bear in upcoming animated movie ‘Yogi Bear’ – added: “It’s no secret I was trained as a very young kid on a TV show with a lot of other extremely talented actors and singers – Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gosling.
“I think we were all trained in the arts, be it song, dance or acting.”
“I’ll always battle with insecurity of people seeing or hearing my work”, insists pop superstar Justin Timberlake
HE HAS fame, success and awards in his trophy cabinet but pop hunk Justin Timberlake claims he’s still insecure.
The 29-year old has been a star since he was 12-year-old entertainer on The New Mickey Mouse Club.
Then he was the main attraction in Nineties boyband *NSYNC as they sold 56million records.
He’s since been a solo star and actor, won six Grammys and collected two Emmys. Along the way, he’s dated Cameron Diaz and Jessica Biel.
But asked if he is more insecure about acting than he is making music, Justin told The Razz: “I think I’m equally insecure about both of them.
“I’ve been doing this for two thirds of my life and I still consider myself pretty young but I think that’s the part you battle with all the time.
“When you’re making it, that’s the best part. The process is the best part.
“Your senses are on a creative high and then the part where everyone else gets to see it and comment on it, that’s the part that I think you battle with until you die.
“It’s absolutely terrifying.”
Justin has only released two solo albums, 2006′s FutureSex/LoveSounds following his 2002 debut Justified.
But he’s collaborated on many singles, including with Timbaland and Nelly Furtado on Give It To Me, 50 Cent on Ayo Technology and with Madonna on 4 Minutes.
Instead of albums, he’s been making movies. Gritty ones like Alpha Dog, Southland Tales and Black Snake Moan or sending himself up as teen royal Artie in Shrek The Third and Jacques “Le Coq” Grande in The Love Guru.
In October, he’ll be seen in The Social Network, a biopic about the founders of Facebook. He plays Sean Parker, the creator of free music service Napster who became Facebook’s president.
And he will voice Boo-Boo Bear in a film version of Yogi Bear that mixes live-action with animation. Dan Aykroyd voices Yogi and Justin does a fantastic take on Boo-Boo’s nasal voice.
Justin is chuffed to be playing such a telly icon. He grinned: “It’s pretty awesome. I used to watch the cartoon when I was a kid.
“You’re talking about a classic, you’re talking about two classic characters that have been around since my parents. Yogi Bear is an iconic Hanna Barbera cartoon. So it’s been a lot of fun.
“I will say this, Dan does an amazing Yogi Bear and hopefully I did Boo-Boo justice. But we’re really – for lack of a better term – mimicking what you recognise as those voices from the cartoon.”
The man from Memphis, Tennessee, is refusing to be pigeonholed as just a singer, claiming he’s cared for acting as well as music.
He said: “It’s no secret I was trained as a very young kid on a TV show with a lot of other extremely talented actors and singers. Christina Aguilera. Ryan Gosling.
“I think we were all trained in the arts, be it song, dance or acting.
“I’m extremely aware of perception and I think that’s why I’ve made the choices that I’ve made. They were for myself.”
And how does he take being one of the sex symbols of a generation? Justin shook his head. He said: “I’m not going to answer that question. There’s no right way.
“Everybody has a little geek in them and I just don’t believe in things that way.
“I love the process of making films and I love the process of making music.”

In the past I thought he was afraid of making a third album, now I have certainty. Obvious that having an insecure person near like Jessica does not help him. I’m not saying that he must become arrogant, I like that he is still a humble person, but I also want that he makes music.
I must question this source, as all sources…..I don’t believe it
I don’t mind him as an actor but more music please. And SNL hosting.
I had a feeling he was feeling insecure about putting out another album. My gut was telling me there was something internal he was wrestling with that was preventing him from putting out a new project. I think he is at a crossroads about the direction he wants to go in and is fearful of failure. He has been on a roll since his first album and he’s probably scared of putting out something sub-par and losing his winning streak.
Interesting, how they´re totally ignoring Britney….
