Mirimichi planning to reopen on Sept. 4

Author: Greg King, director of golf at Mirimichi, says the Millington-based course owned by Justin Timberlake will reopen on Sept. 4.
“The greens were recently planted/sprigged (June 22-23),” King said. “Additionally, we are renovating the bunkers and improving the greens’ surrounding areas. The championship course; Little Mirimichi, the executive nine holes; the putting course; and the performance and learning center will all be available when we open for play.”
Until then, Mirimichi will be conducting junior clinics in July for girls and boys ages 6-17. The dates are July 12-16, 19-23 and 26-30. The cost is $25 per day with instruction from lead instructor Jennifer Jordan and Bobby Cochran. Mirimichi’s performance and learning center features ball flight analysis and club fitting utilizing the Callaway CPAS system.

I didn’t see this before. Sounds like a great opportunity. I want my kids to learn to play and I’ve checked the courses here…it is much more expensive!! But Mirimichi is so far away
I hope other courses pick up on their lead and make golf more accessible to kids. It’s a great discipline teacher.
How do you pronounce this exactly? I’m trying to tell someone about it who’s from Tenn. Is is like merry me-chi? or marry me-chee? anyone know?
aTayler: It’s pronounced Mira-mi-chi, like me-ra-mi-chi, hope that helps, but it’s spelled Mirimichi with the ‘i’.

Ola, I don’t care if they “break up” or pluck each other’s gray hairs. I don’t want to give into talking about someone who’s famous for no good reason.
