A Foxx-y Remake of Laverne & Shirley?

Remember all that silly talk during the press junket for the movie Valentine’s Day that Jennifer Garner and Jessica Biel would like to play Laverne & Shirley in a big-screen remake? I immediately filed that under the ‘will never happen in a zillion years’ folder. Well, Valentine’s and L&S producer Garry Marshall, who was honored at the 18th Annual Night At Sardi’s Fundraiser for Alzheimer’s (his mother died of the disease), tells me the script is now being written by Valentine’s co-star Jamie Foxx.
“Jamie and I are trying to do it,” Garry confirms. “He’s writing it. It’s a whole different modern day take on how they came up on the streets during difficult times. Laverne would be this very tough girl with a big ‘L’ tattooed on her arm. Jennifer Garner would play Laverne and Jessica Biel would play Shirley.” (Funny… I kinda see it the other way around.)
While Jamie plans to write in roles for the original sitcom stars, Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams, Garry says Jamie asked him not to reveal what those roles would be. As a major L&S fan, might I suggest Cindy as landlady Edna Babish, with Marshall as Laverne nemesis Rosie Greenbaum?
Do you like the idea of Jennifer Garner as Laverne and Jessica Biel as Shirley? Personally, I think we could do better. How about dipping into the Big Love cast with Chloe Sevigny as Laverne and Ginnfer Goodwin as Shirley?

The source of the so-called fight is twitter person name iamtimyap who also said Jessica was on the flight with Justin. Then he changed his story and said there was a fight and she wasn’t going.

I’m glad Jessica isn’t there to try to steal the limelight from Justin. I also hope they had a fight and things are no longer “better than ever”. After all those corny press releases about Justin being “by her side” and “supporting his lady”, the story about the strippers was all over.

Very weird to see him sitting alone in a foreign airport terminal…..nice though! Hope Bielbitch doesn’t kill the happy buzz by clinging to him from a different flight…..time will tell.
I hope they don’t believe the stories about him supporting her and being by her side as if she is so important and he’s not. If anybody wonders why people criticize her on this board, it’s because she makes everything all about her instead of Justin and we’re fans of Justin not her.
I don’t really have a comment ab out Jess and Justin except- booooorrrrinnngg! I just want to correct a wrong statement made by Czechgirl on Robin Thicke – he’s NOT from England – he was born and raised in Los Angeles and has more authentic “blackness” then JT ever will -yes He’s married to a ‘beautiful black woman named Paula Patton ( she’s actually of mixed-race). I love both their music but I don’t think JT has any real desire for women of color – that’s a PR move to earn cool points with the sista’s. I loved him with Britney and IMHO she’s the love of his life. I think he eventually will end up with her again – mark my words.
