This is what Morley emailed me earlier while we were all watching the livestream of the Golden Globe nominations in reference to Pipsqueak Justin Timberlake’s famewhoring during the announcements. He couldn’t help himself. He could not help taking over the spotlight. Lainey is a bitch but Justin needs to be called out once in awhile. MOST every media outlet kisses his ass, so I’m sure one person calling him out isn’t going to kill him.
I didn’t see what happened during the nominations and whether Lainey is exaggerating.
if he would have just read the paper then people would have said he was so boring and then when he tries to make it interesting he’s an ass.
you can’t control what the media does or says cause they control what you see nd hear.
JT was just being himself…..to some people it is annoying, to others like myself it is funny…..Regardless, I will always like Lainey because she can be counted on to give the hard dose of truth, the other perspective to combat the delusional ones who think JT of any other celeb is a god and can do no wrong…..

Lainey is just like any other gossip blogger out there; she has her favourites and then ones she likes to rag on so any “truth” she dishes out tends to have a slant to it. She’s hardly objective.
And I don’t think she’s right here. Reading out the paper is monotonous and boring and JT added his own brand to it. Better for us in my opinion. Sure, not everyone can ad lib such an event and pull it off but it was clear he was having a laugh and I think he did pull it off. Not sure why that should be such a problem for people like Lainey. But you can’t please everyone and she’s certainly entitled to her opinion.
That said, he looks great! I’m not what one would call a fan of the curls but this is a look I can definitely live with!:)
We all know Lainey is a gossip blogger who gives an opinion and never sets herself up to be objective.
Anyway, I finally watched the video and my opinion is that jokes giving out the nominations are generally considered inappropriate and attention whoring. I don’t think what he said was even that funny tbh so I’m not sure why people at POPEATER are saying he “stole the show” yuck yuck yuck.
I guess if you are a stan you think it’s great, if you don’t like him you see it as him being a douche’ hamming it up, if you are a fan who is realistic you see it as a big “Whatever” moment.
Or you could be a realistic fan who thought it was funny! I don’t consider myself a ‘stan’ (too old for that unfortunately
) but I enjoyed his bit very much. Doesn’t make me “stan” by any stretch of the imagination.

I agree with most of you. I appreciate him trying to liven things up but didn’t think it was LOL just kinda corny. I can’t believe I’m saying this but this year I’ve had a few moments when I struggle to remain a JT fan. Can’t wait for a new album…even if it’s not as good as FSLS I hope he gives us something new soon. Until then, I’ll keep holding on since I’ve been a fan for so long.
