I want to be abuntantly clear here…
By NO means do I think that Jessica has power over Justin! I DO think that her people, and possibly she, are trying to manipulate the situation. I think Justin is trying to be gentlemanly and diplomatic about this breakup. If I recall, when he has talked about his break up with Britney, he sat down w/ her and told her he would be there for her. Also, I think he and Cameron had a similar thing, where he sat down with her face to face to tell her that the relationship has ended. In both of these breakups, I think he tried to breakup amicably and on friendly terms. I think he has tried to do the same w/ jessica, IMHO, but everytime he has tried to have the breakup talk, he has been surprised by the paps and a Jessica cuddling up to him. I think that she and her people know that he is trying to end this and end this on good terms, so no one will come off looking bad; but they are playing hard ball by forcing this farce by tipping off the paps and the paps getting pics of the “loving” couple. I think all he is trying to do is have that face to face with Jessica to tell her it is off (just like he did with Britney and Cameron) and so he doesn’t come off as being an insensitive jerk.
mariah -Thanks for posting the article with Ted is right on the money. Even thou the pictures came out people close to Justin are telling him it’s ending, that it’s not going to work

Yummyboo.. I’ve been a fan of both Britney and Justin for ten years and their break up was bad and hard on both of them at the time, it didnt end as nice and as diplomatic as you are making it sound. It was very rough and Justin admitted to being devasted and crying himself to sleep at night. I dont think there was a “this isnt going to work out” calm conversation. I think it was more of a blow up, because he caught her being unfaithful. And then he went around to media and radiostations talking about their sex life and how she wasn’t a virgin, all to get revenge. I remember it very well….It was a big mess with a lot of drama at the end.

As far as Cam, I think that is a relationship more comparable to what you were saying when you talk about the way it ended. He slowly backed out and tried to end on good terms etc.
I don’t think Biel is having any of that friendly ending stuff, that “lets release an official statement together” kind of bullshit. Nah, she’s not going for that.

Jessica, 27, was beaming as she clutched Justin’s hand as they lunched Wednesday at a vegetarian restaurant called The Naam in Vancouver, a spot that’s popular with health-conscious celebrities. Sitting at a back table, they spent a smile-filled hour with eyes only for each other, according to onlookers.
After lunch and a visit to a convenience store, they strolled back to Jessica’s rented condo. Justin, 28, only let go of his girlfriend’s hand when he spotted a photographer nearby.
The night before, the foodie twosome left an evening screening of Where the Wild Things Are to share a vegan strawberry-rhubarb pie and spinach salad at Aphrodite Cafe and Organic Delights.
“Justin and Jessica came in around 9 p.m. and sat at a table near the front window to watch the world go by,” a source tells PEOPLE. “They both seemed really relaxed and at ease and very comfortable with each other.”

amber…by no means am I saying that this breakup was easy for either one of them…I mean, they were each the other’s first true love. I know that breakup was probably chalked full of tears, pain, arguing, passive aggressive behavior, etc. I also remember him being an ass in interviews after the breakup with Britney. But I do think there came a time with the two of them where they did sit down and he was able to calmly (possibly thru tears) tell her it’s over.
