NEW YORK, NY–(Marketwire – June 3, 2009) – UJA-Federation of New York’s Entertainment, Media & Communications Division will honor Barry Weiss, chairman and CEO of RCA/JIVE Label Group, with the 2009 Music Visionary of the Year Award at UJA-Federation’s Music Visionary of the Year Award Luncheon on Thursday, June 18, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. at The Pierre, Fifth Avenue at 61st Street, in Manhattan.

Justin Timberlake will emcee the philanthropic event, and Jamie Foxx, as special guest performer, will perform hits from his new album, “Intuition.”

The kickoff breakfast last April that raised more than $300,000 set the pace for fundraising efforts that will continue through June 18, when the music industry gathers to pay tribute to Weiss. Funds raised support UJA-Federation of New York’s annual campaign, including its Music for Youth initiative, which supports programs and creates scholarships that make quality music education available and affordable for children in New York and around the world.
