Justin Not in the Music Mood
Got the tissues ready to dry your eyes, Justin Timberlake fans?
While the sexiest man in pop is in and out of the studio collaborating with other artists like T.I. and Ciara, JT says he’s not going to be putting out a new album of his own anytime soon.
“Right now, I like the idea that things can just kind of pop up and if they feel right I can do them,” he tells Entertainment Weekly. “Committing to my own sort of project, that’s like, ‘Okay, let me block out two years of my life and do it.’ ”
Part of the reason for His Royal Sexiness’ reticence is his satisfaction with 2006′s FutureSex/LoveSounds.
“I was heavily fulfilled with the last one and I always have this thing with myself that if I can’t sleep because I need to do it, then I’m gonna do it,” he reveals. “But if I’m not losing sleep over it then…”
Good thing he’s got that whole sexy thing to fall back on. Did we mention he’s sexy?

Back to topic, disappointed by that but he says he does things that just pop up and feel right so hopefully one day he wakes up and just feels like doing another album lol… Maybe you don’t but the rest of the world needs your new album Justin!
This makes me sad but i can’t say i’m not surprised. I’ve been getting this vibe that he isn’t going to be putting out another record anytime soon. He seems interested in other projects, clothing line william rast, acting, producing TV shows, golf!! Anything but working on his own album. Think about it though: Justified was a great debut: everyone loved it- set the tone for his solo musical career . Then he took 4 years before we saw Future Sex /Love Sounds which was amazing! Now that’s a tough act to follow. If you’re not feeling it then you can’t just come out with some crappy album. I think if we see another one (and i say if with great sadness) it will take a few years…

I think he’s being a little bit stupid, music is what he’s best at. It’s a shame I feel like he’s become a celebrity now, whereas before he was a famous musician.

I do feel he must be absolutely sure he’s ready to go back in the studio and slam dunk another amazing album on us. If that’s not going to be anytime soon, too bad. I just hope that when it happens I’ll be pleasantly surprised yet again.
I agree that music is what he’s best at. The acting, for me, just isn’t up to par. Comedy(mainly SNL) on the other hand, nice hobby. Golf gives him a nice look and again seems a great hobby for him. Fashion……only them jeans I love….not fond of the other circus outfits in his line of clothing (i.e. Jessica prancing around NYC in WR drag). And now…tequilla too….
It’s a miracle the guy still standing up straight after a days work…
If we have to contend with collaborations for the coming years, that’s fine.
He’ll be back with his own album some day…don’t worry.

I don’t believe for one second there is any real love between Justin and Jessica, sorry. The relationship has publicity stunt written all over it. Plus, just because he SAYS he’s happy it doesn’t mean he actually IS. Do you have any idea how many people stay in bad relationships every day, and claim they’re happy with their lives when they’re not. A LOT. Everything is not as it seems.
Well, it could be the fact that even before she dated Justin she was fame hungry, and that’s been known for years about her publicist tipping off the paps and tabloids. With her dating Justin, it just became more obvious.
He’ll do it when he’s ready, and it’ll probably happen within the next year or two.
The WR clothing line is well….nevermind. lol He’e trying very hard to make it happen, and the WR line has been around for a few years, but they are really pushing it now.
I just don’t see it taking off and being a hit to the point he can quit music, same with the Tequila business. There comes a point where you spread your name too thin, and it takes a little value off of your name. Justin’s movies? Same. He hasn’t been successful in any, and he’s had a lot of shots. Face it, there are too many actors around his age in Hollywood that have real acting chops. Not that he sucks, but he’s no Jake Gyllenhaal or James Franco.
I see nothing wrong with him taking a break, and working/producing for other artists, but he shouldn’t be trying to attach his name to a bunch of stuff like an MTV Reality Game show, etc. WTF is that?
Reality TV is old and played out. Nobody even watches MTV anymore. Even “The Hills” have lost a lot of ratings over the last couple of years.
To me, if you’re going to do something, do one thing and do it right.
Justin only does that with his music. It’s what he does best. I hope he gets back to working on his own album soon.

In general, I’m not a fan of celeb clothing lines and they tend to not do very well.David Beckham launched a childrens clothing line a fw years back in the UK and it didn’t take off.
Personally,I would prefer he cut back on all the collabs or maybe just not appear in all the damn videos, its starting to become a joke. Its like, oh no not JT again. By all means be the producer in the background, if the materials good enough, it will sell.
Finally, I’m puzzled by his stance on his own album. Last summer he gave an interview saying he hoped it would be ready by the fall. Anways, when nothing came out I figured Jive delayed it cos they were launching Britneys album.

JT is obviously multi-talented and I can only imagine the amount of time, energy and stress an album and touring is but I really wish he would get back to his own music. I agree with some other comments that he’s becoming more of a celebrity than an artist. I’m actually starting to grow a LITTLE tired of him.
